April 2025 – Bowel Cancer awareness month

Bowel Cancer is currently the fourth most common cancer in the UK and the second biggest cancer killer.

Around 44,000 people in the UK are diagnosed with bowel cancer each year, and more than 16,800 people die every year from the disease.

We need everyone’s help to raise awareness of the bowel screening programme to help reduce these numbers.

If you are between 50-75 and you have received a bowel cancer screening kit, use it and return it as soon as you can.

IF CAUGHT EARLY, TREATMENT IS MORE EFFECTIVE.
