Free Chlamydia testing kits
Chlamydia is one of the most common sexually transmitted infections (STIs). If left untreated, it can cause long-term health problems — it won’t clear up on its own, so getting tested is important.
You might notice symptoms 1–3 weeks after infection, but they can also appear much later. Some people don’t get any symptoms at all.
For women, early signs can include:
- Changes in vaginal discharge (which may be yellow and have an unusual smell)
- Bleeding between periods or after sex
- Stinging or burning when you urinate
- Pain or discomfort during sex
If you think you might have been exposed to Chlamydia, have symptoms, or have a new sexual partner, it’s best to get tested as soon as possible.
You can now order a free home testing kit quickly and discreetly. Just pop into Leap Valley or Abbotswood Surgeries and look out for the Yumo Sexual Health posters in the surgery (and on the window) with a QR code — simply scan it to request your kit.
