Sending Photos in to the Surgery

When a patient uploads a photo to eConsult, we would always ask that the photo is of a high quality but that does not contain identifiable features like their face unless this is relevant for the diagnosis. We would also ask patients to not upload any intimate or sensitive photos (such as the bottom, breasts or genitals). When a patient uploads a photo to eConsult, they provide implied consent for its use for clinical purposes.

For any patient who are uncomfortable sending photos or require an intimate examination, we would encourage booking in a face-face appointment instead.
