Antenatal

These clinics are run by community midwives. If you become pregnant, you will need to make a ‘booking appointment’. At this appointment the midwife will ask you a few questions and carry out some general health checks. From then on you will be seen regularly throughout your pregnancy at the local clinic or hospital. You do not routinely need to see a GP when you discover you are pregnant, unless you want to discuss specific issues with them.

North Bristol NHS Trust Maternity Services run a centralised booking process for newly pregnant women to access maternity services, by email at [email protected] or telephone 0117 4146743. Information including an Antenatal Booking Form can be found on the North Bristol NHS Trust website
