Urine and stool samples

We are seeing an increasing number of samples brought into the surgery with no patient details on. We are unable to test these and they have to be discarded.

If you have been asked to drop in a urine or stool sample to the surgery – please ensure that the specimen container is tightly closed to prevent any leakage during transport.

Also, please ensure that the specimen container is properly labelled with the following information:-

Patients full name.

Patients date of birth.

Date & time of the specimen.
